Bandai

Bandai hobby products are developed by BANDAI SPIRITS, a Bandai Namco group company established in 2018. Its category brands are Bandai plastic model kits from Bandai Hobby, led by Gunpla since 1980; Tamashii Nations figures and robots, including S.H.Figuarts, METAL BUILD and Chogokin; Ichiban Kuji, a no-lose character lottery; and Banpresto amusement prizes made to be won at crane games, including the Q posket series.

Most of the products on this page are Bandai Hobby plastic model kits: MG, RG, HG, 30 Minutes Missions and other Gunpla, plus One Piece and Pokemon kits. Beyond those, P-Rex Hobby's Bandai pages include more Bandai model kit lines such as 30 Minutes Missions and Figure-rise Standard, Bandai shokugan candy toys, Tamagotchi, PROPLICA, S.H.MonsterArts, Bandai trading cards and P-Bandai items.

Are Bandai model kits and Bandai Hobby the same?

Yes. Bandai plastic model kits, including Gunpla, come from the hobby division of BANDAI SPIRITS, and the Bandai Hobby Site is the official site for Gunpla and Bandai character model kits.

What is the difference between Bandai and Banpresto?

Banpresto is one brand under Bandai. BANDAI SPIRITS uses the Banpresto name for amusement prizes won at crane games and similar machines, while Bandai Hobby kits, Tamashii Nations figures and Ichiban Kuji prizes are its other brands.

What is Ichiban Kuji?

Ichiban Kuji is BANDAI SPIRITS' no-lose character lottery offered at convenience stores, bookstores and hobby shops. Every ticket wins a prize, and the Last One Prize goes to whoever draws a store's final ticket.
