Are SMS paints acrylic or lacquer?
Both: SMS paints are acrylic lacquers, a solvent-based formula made in Australia for scale modelling plastics, metals and resins.
Do SMS paints need thinning before airbrushing?
No. SMS acrylic lacquers are made airbrush-ready, so they can be sprayed straight from the bottle. SMS acrylic lacquer thinner is also available for clean-up and adjustments.
What is SMS HyperChrome?
HyperChrome is the SMS mirror-chrome paint line, offered in Cold, Warm and Dark tones. SMS also makes HyperChrome markers.
Are these SMS paints authentic?
Yes. P-Rex Hobby sells 100% authentic products, sourced from authorized distributors.
