From the Hobby Boss description:
The T-34/85, often hailed as "possibly the best tank of World War 2," was a marvel of engineering that combined speed, maneuverability, and powerful armament. Making its battlefield debut in early 1944, it played a pivotal role in the Allied push into Germany, remaining a key component of Soviet and allied forces until the war's end. This model kit represents the T-34/85 Model of 1944, featuring the "flattened" turret, a later style one-piece commander’s hatch, and non-pierced rubber-rimmed road wheels, capturing the evolution and strength of this legendary tank.
The T-34/85's design, with its 85mm (3.34in) gun and three-man turret, marked a significant upgrade over its predecessors, allowing it to face off against formidable German tanks like the Tiger and Panther. Despite heavy losses in the early years of the war, the T-34/85's production and battlefield effectiveness were unparalleled, with over 11,000 units produced in 1944 alone. This model kit pays homage to the tank that not only led the charge into Germany but also served as a backbone for Soviet and allied forces well into the late 1940s and beyond, with production extending into the 1960s for Third Party Nations.
Capture a piece of military history with this detailed and historically accurate 1/16 scale model kit of the Soviet T-34/85.
