Celebrate the historic roll-out ceremony of the Merkava 4, which took place on June 24, 2002, by building your very own replica. This model represents the 65t Merkava 4 tank that entered full production in 2001 and proudly served in the Israel Defence Forces by 2004. The Israeli Ministry of Defence ambitiously planned the manufacture of 50 to 70 tanks annually, with projections of up to 400 tanks. The Merkava 4 showcases significant enhancements over its predecessors, including advanced armour protection, and upgraded gun and electronics systems. Slightly larger than the Merkava 3 Baz, which has been operational since 1990, the Merkava 4 stands out with its capability to transport eight infantry soldiers, a Command Group, or three litter patients, in addition to its four-member crew. This tank is renowned for its ability to fire on the move at moving targets, achieving high hit probability even against attack helicopters with conventional anti-tank munitions.
When assembled, this meticulously detailed model measures approximately 26.3cm in length and 11.4cm in width, making it a standout addition to any collection.
