This remarkable model is the third installment in the "Study 1942" series, which aims to recreate firearms that laid the groundwork for modern weaponry before World War II. Crafted in brown and black plastic, this model captures the essence of the longest anti-tank rifle, scaling down to approximately 18cm in length upon completion. The Simonov's design features a simple fixed magazine, offering a glimpse into the historical method of bullet feeding. With a retractable bolt, enthusiasts can simulate the insertion of a cartridge clip or leave it out to allow movement of the bolt parts. The model also includes an adjustable bipod, a selectable carrying handle, and a meticulously replicated muzzle brake to manage the recoil of the 14.5mm bullets, complete with a thick leather recoil pad. Although figures and accessories are not included, this 1/12-scale model is a must-have for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
